1 | Holy Spirit takes up residence | 1 Cor 6:19 | New Creature | 60870 | ||
In a recennt discussion I had with a minister of a certain church, I used the following verse as well as others to tell him why I believe that the Holy Spirit takes up residence in every born-again believer. 1 Cor. 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? This minister said: "we are talking about an association between God and mankind and not about a physical residence." Am I right in saying that the Holy Spirit indwells the believer. And what could I possibly say to this minister to convince him of this truth if I am correct? Any and all help will be deeply appreciated |

Hello New Creature These verses all speak of the Spirit residing in us -- John 14:17; Rom 8:9,11; 2 Tim 1:14; James 4:5 I doubt you can convince this minister of the plain truth. Steve |
