1 | Holy Spirit leaving the earth? | 1 Cor 6:19 | kecia | 120539
This is my first time utilizing this site. I hope that someone can answer this question for me. Is there a scriptural reference of specific verse that refers to the Holy Spirit no longer being in the earth once the Lord takes away his church (rapture)? Thanks alot...Kecia |

2 | Holy Spirit leaving the earth? | 1 Cor 6:19 | New Creature | 120554
Greetings kecia; Some people use the following verse to support a belief that there will come a day when the Holy Spirit is removed from any further influence among the habitants of earth. 2 Thess. 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way. (ASV) Whether or not this actually is certain I cannot say for sure. There are various thoughts concerning the meaning of this verse. Maybe someone else in this forum has more knowledge about this. I certainly don't have a pat answer. There are a couple of good posts on the idenity of the restrainer. They are posts numbers 17492, 31729, and 31873, they can be accessed by typing any of these numbers in the Quick Search box on the right side of your screen and then clicking on Search Blessings new Creature |
