1 | Temple of the Holy Spirit | 1 Cor 6:19 | Ngop | 105438
Emmaus, Greetings and thank you for your response. But God dwells in the flesh of Jesus because Jesus' flesh is not from dust. It is the Word made flesh ( John 1:1 ). In the Temple of Jerusalem, God's glory not God dwells in it ( I think; not so sure ).And in Exodus 25:8, God dwells among the people not in the Tabernacle. It think it means, God's presence was with them. And if I may add, in Roman 7:14, our flesh is sold as slave to sin. God and sin are like oil and water that will never mix. How will then the Holy Spirit dwells in our sinful body. God bless Ngop |

2 | Temple of the Holy Spirit | 1 Cor 6:19 | Emmaus | 105440
Ngop, God dwells everywhere in different ways but always existed and exists as trancendent Spirit. If Jesus' flesh is not the same as ours, what was the purpose of Him taking it on to save us for the resurrection of the body? Is He not true God and true man? Did He not take His body from Mary? The Holy Spirit dwells in us us because we are "new creations in Christ" and it is "no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me." Sorry I am not where I have access to give proper citations. Maybe someone else can help here. Emmaus |
