1 | Misprint online or HC, confuses meaning | 1 Cor 6:18 | EdB | 99524
Joe NASB Hebrew Greek dictionary lists 265 as from Greek 264 (, ); a sin:— sin(2), sins(2). Your right my NASB Hebrew Greek Study Bible does list this word as 265. But I know both the Strong's and NASB lists this word as 4202. My Greek English Interlinear also lists it as 4202. I also have a software program Logos/Libronix that builds an interlinear and references the books it uses to build it and it came up with 4202 using Strong's, Vine's and the NASB dictionary. I would conclude the word should be 4202 and your Hebrew Greek Study Bible has a misprint. My guess old Spiros missed one here. ::-) EdB |

2 | Misprint online or HC, confuses meaning | 1 Cor 6:18 | Ray | 99572
Hi EdB, I don't think that "old Spiros missed one here" although I don't have a NASB version of the copy in my possession. However, I do own the King James copy of his work and the verse being considered here, 1 Cor 6:18 has no reference number over the word "fornification" (although it is referenced for verse 13 as #4202). So I would suppose that tellicojoe mistakenly thought that the verse was speaking of the same word. Rather it is speaking of the particular sin and then going on with "every sin" (#265). I had to speak up in defense of old Spiros. From the heart, Ray |

3 | Misprint online or HC, confuses meaning | 1 Cor 6:18 | EdB | 99581
Ray My copy of the NASB Hebrew Greek Key Study Bible has 265 over the word immorality, the second word in the verse of 1Cor.6:18. Every other reference source I consulted lists this word as 4202 so I think in the NASB this is a misprint and I stand by my accusation that Spiros missed it. :-) How are you doing my brother? I'm keeping you in prayer. EdB |

Hi EdB, Like I said, I don't have an NASB copy. What does 1 Cor 6:13 say in your copy? If old Spiros has #4202 over "Yet the body is not for immortality" then we can't say that he missed it. Rather, 1 Cor 6:18 would be an addition by NASB that Spiros Zodhiates did not intend. :-) I have a lot of respect for proofreaders for they have to be very alert. I just had a second chemo therapy session and am feeling well thank you. I know however that my cancer has spread to other parts of my bone. I appreciate your prayers. God is good and greatly to be praised. From the heart, Ray |

Ray 1 Cor 6:13 is 4202 but I still don't see now that proves anything. The NASB Hebrew Greek dictionary lists both as 4202 so it seem Spiros made the change or it was inadvertent and the proof readers missed it. Brother you will remain in my prayers. EdB |
