Hello shortstop45us, I believe we are unable in the flesh to understand the things we have promised, upon the redemption of our uncorruptible spiritual bodies(1Cor15) through the Love of Jesus. (KJV) 1Cor 2:9 - But as it is written,"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." 1 Cor 2:9 is quoted from Isa 64:4 which says,"For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him," I believe we cannot even begin to understand what He has in store for us nor do I think it is important for us to worry about, because the righteous know not the good they do. I believe 1Cor 2:9 and Isa 64:4 are beautiful verses which directly relates to the separation of the goats and the sheep of Matt 25:32-46. The goats being unrighteous and the sheep being righteous(not seeking rewards for their acts of kindness done in love). Matt 25:34 - Then shall the King say unto them(sheep) on His righthand,"Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Matt 25:35 - For I was hungred, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: Matt 25:36 - Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me." Then in Matt 25:37-39, the righteous ask the Lord when did they ever do these things to or for Him, they were unaware of their kindness, and the Lord answers them saying in verse 40," Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me." My point is that the eyes of the righteous never saw Jesus hungry and they gave Him meat, they never saw Him thirsty and they gave Him drink, they never saw in naked and they clothed Him, they never saw Him sick and they visited Him, they never saw Him in prison and they came unto Him nor did the ears of the righteous ever hear the calls from their Lord, which was through His brethren, but they did all these wonderful things for the brethren which Jesus recognized as being done to Him. In other words the righteous seek not gain or rewards for themselves but follow the two great commandments of the law, Matt 22:37 "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind". and Matt 22:39 "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Material rewards are physical and of the world(satans lies), but the Father is Spirit and His promises in Truth are spiritual and are found in faith, hope and love. 1Cor 9:18 - What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. 1Cor 9:19 - For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all. that I might gain the more. 1Cor 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1Cor 10:32 - Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, not to the church of God; 1Cor 10:33 - Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many that they may be saved. Thanks for the question! The Father and Sons love will be found when we search for spiritual riches and not material riches. I hope this response helps in your search for Jesus and the love He has to give you from the Living Water. Peace IN Faith and Hope, casiv |

1 Cor 2:9-10 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. (NIV) WHY is it that people quote verse 9 and then stop. PEOPLE, PLEASE read verse 10. "but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit." Do you all have Bibles in which 1 Cor 2 ends with verse 9? ??? |

Hello Kalos, Thanks for your response. The question asked was directly about 1Cor2:9 not verse 10, but if you have something to share regarding verse 10 I am sure the person who asked the question would appreciate your input. Verse 9 ends with a "period" which shows the end of a sentence and is quoted from Isa 64:4. If a person really wants to understand the structure of "The Wisdom of God (In Private)", they need to read 1Cor 2:6-16, not just stop at verse 10. Thank you for your concern. Please don't shout at me. Also, please read chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Peace, casiv |
