1 | What of Paul | 1 Cor 1:1 | aflowr4u | 76737 | ||
I am a Christian and I have placed my faith in Jesus. If He were not in my heart, I would not study to try to understand and know more about Him. I believe the bible is the word. I realize it is written and interpreted in various different versions...some containing different books than others...and some books that aren't in any at all but maybe should be...BUT I don't reject it. |

Hi Julie! Welcome to the Forum. Do read Tim Moran's excellent post by putting 48438 into the quick search field. One thing that I would remind you about is 2 Peter 1:21 which says, "no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." Paul is just one of many men who God used to bring His Word to the world. He is no different from Isaiah or Moses or Luke or John. All of these men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write what God wants us to know. Have you ever heard the expression, "Don't shoot the messenger?" Paul is just a messenger of the Gospel - he is not the Author! I am reminded to the words of God to Samuel when the people rejected his divinely appointed leadership in favor of an earthly king. God said, "It is not you they are rejecting; it is Me!" (1 Sam 8:7) Could this be the case with those who reject the teachings of God through the Apostle Paul? Just something to consider. I hope that you will continue to seek God through His Word! Blessings, mommapbs |
