when we receive an inspired revelation...when is the right time to speak up?...seems like I bust on the inside wanting to get an inspired revelation out but never want to be out of order...I noticed that others were permitted to speak like in Acts 13:15 ....but this does not seem to be an option today...unless I am visiting a Church OF God and someone wants to give a message in tounges...God Bless

"The use of the term revelation or reveal(ed) in reference to one's own understanding or teaching implies that those teachings were directly from God and thus infallible." christian7: Please know that nothing in this post is meant to be harsh or to be taken as criticism of you. I write to you with Christian respect and courtesy. I merely wish to point out some things about the use of the term revelation or revelation knowledge. ************* *Illumination* is the ministry of the Holy Spirit which makes clear the truth of the written revelation in the Bible. In reference to the Bible, *revelation* relates to its content or material, *inspiration* to the method of recording (recording, not perpetuating or preserving) that material, and *illumination* to the meaning of the record. I say again: *Illumination* is the ministry of the Holy Spirit which makes clear the truth of the written revelation in the Bible. Notice WHAT and WHERE revelation is; it is WRITTEN and it is IN THE BIBLE. There is no new revelation. The canon of Scripture is complete and has been complete for approximately 2,000 years. Jesus Christ is God's final and complete revelation to mankind (Heb. 1:1,2). The use of the term revelation or reveal(ed) in reference to one's own understanding or teaching implies that those teachings were directly from God and thus infallible. Grace and peace to you, kalos |

I was speaking of a revelation of or from the Bible not just from somewhere out there in left field...lol...now the verse says that if a revelation comes...then let the first one be silent...now...are you saying the scripture is speaking of revelation or illumination?...THe use of the term revelation or reveal(ed) in reference to one's own understanding or reaching implies the those teachings were directly from God and thus infallible...so when God gives you a teaching or understanding it is directly from God...a revelation...and the verse says if a revelation comes to another, then let the first one be silent...but there never seems to be the open chance to share this revelation which could be for someone in need of it and could possibly be the reason that God gave it to you...did I just say that...anyway I dont take offence to anything that is said to me as I well hope we are all in this together to help one another with the love of Christ in our words so please kalos dont think this is some kind of a reply that I am sending to oppose anything that you wrote as I always enjoy reading the work you are doing for the Lord...I am just caught up in this verse a little bit and was wondering when was the right time to speak about something the Lord has shown you or me...God Bless
