1 | Should everyone speak in tongues? | 1 Cor 12:10 | TheFinalSQL | 116430 | ||
In addition to the gift of tongues, which has been covered rather well, in speaking of tongues there is also the evidence of the Holy Ghost. Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Praise the Lord! I have been to churches that do not then churches that do. Tongues are for Prophecy and a sign to unbelievers and to help us pray. Do not worry if it is ok or not, ask the Lord and He will answer but remember this: 1 Corinthians 13:1 [AMP] IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. We need to have love or else everything else is futile and fruitless. God bless Helen |

Hi, Helen... Welcome to the forum! Actually, you're responding to posts that are over four years old. It takes a little practice to learn how to navigate the SBF forum. By the way, this particular topic has been talked right into the ground. Just about every thing that can be reasonably -- or unreasonably, for that matter -- that can be said about it has been said. It is doubtful that we can add anything fruitful about it. In Him, Doc |
