Hi, Jessie... Communion is not a replacement for Passover. After becoming a Christian, I thought that that was the case for quite some time; being a Jew, it is hard to not view the world entirely through that filter. Rather it is an entirely new ordinance. Like the Old Covenant, there are aspects of it that are a shadow of things to come; i.e., the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:6-9). The breaking of His body and the shedding of His blood on Calvary are symbolized in the bread and the wine.
