1 | Will God put on us more than we can bear | 1 Cor 10:13 | ashelton | 193181
Does the Bible say anything that concludes that God will not put more on us than we can bear? I found only a scripture that indicates that God will not tempt us more than we can withstand. However, I continue to hear this phrase in common talk. Please advise.
2 | Will God put on us more than we can bear | 1 Cor 10:13 | azurelaw | 193182
Dear ashelton, I believe most people make use of 1 cor 10:13 to convey the idea that God will not put more on us than we can bear. You have already noticed that this scripture talked about temptation. Temptations are also trials (in other sense) for believers to grow. But God does not tempt us (James 1:12-14). He makes use of our weaknesses to show His power and glory (2 Cor 12:9). Hope the above helpful. Shalom Azure |
