1 | Is the Holy Spirit a sin-enabler? | Rom 8:13 | Searcher56 | 138756
The Holy Spirit is NOT a sin-enabler ........... Read the context. The context, starting in verse 9, or even back to 7:14 gives the answer. What do you think? Who is this for? |

2 | Is the Holy Spirit a sin-enabler? | Rom 8:13 | JCrichton | 138819
Hi, Searcher! I am not suggesting that the Holy Spirit is a sin-enabler! Clearly, Paul is addressing the Believers, he includes himself as part of the example (Romans 7:9)... Paul makes a distinction about his old nature and his new nature... how the struggle exists between the flesh and the spirit... how when yielding to the Spirit we will please God and receive all Gifts... how when yielding to the flesh will grant us only death! Yet, many "Christians" believe that when Scripture admonishes that sin leads to death, it only means death to those who are not "Christians;" in other words all "Christian" sins are pre-forgiven in Christ... so go ahead, "eat, drink, and be merry!" God Bless! Angel |
