1 | can she be baptized? | Rom 5:8 | brother ray | 196983
I still believe this lady has a right to be baptized. Salvation is an individual thing. we cannot be saved by our father/mother, or anyone else. this lady has repented of her sins, (Ro. 8:1) she is a believer, a sister in Christ Jesus, who are we to deny her what Christ himself has commanded us to do when saved (Mt. 28:19). we often times are quick to judge, and condemn. Lets let God who is still on His Throne be God. 1 Peter 3:1 "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives". one final thing 2 Peter 3:9 states (its in the Bible) "...but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance". He is still in the salvation business, even after the rapture, many will be saved. the churches position is not to separate the family but rather to keep them together. |

2 | can she be baptized? | Rom 5:8 | stjohn | 196984
Dear Brother, If as you say, this lady has, repented of her sins, and wants to do the right thing, then who are we to gudge her? Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Matt 9:13 "But go and learn what this means: 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Gal 2:17 "But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? May it never be! God bless John |
