2 | Why do bads happen to Christians? | Rom 5:12 | EdB | 237048
Man's sin is what brought about misery and horror in this world. God sent his Son so that one day Sin and all that it brings will be gone from this earth. Until then Christians have the hope of knowing this is not their home and that one day they will be going home. |

3 | Why do bads happen to Christians? | Rom 5:12 | Jesusfriend | 237054
We are pilgrims here, just passing through this world in hopes of a better resurrection, but the book of Job gives us a great insight into why God allows misery in the world. Job had trials beyond what any american can imagine, and as one reads through the book of Job and finds that God allowed satan to tempt Job to get him to sin just to show how faithful Job was, this is happening all the time. God allows trials to strengthen our faith. Most of the time when trials come our first response is one of anger and lack of self control, but! when we think of God the moment of the worst trials what happens? Have you tried that? The trial seems to lessen and lessen as we get encouraged with by God's Spirit to hold our tongue and our thoughts, but not without help. God sends power to overcome EVERY trial, and, believe it or not, every temptation to sin. And if we do not overcome we are lost. Yes Jesus died to give sinners hope of the resurrection, and show man that a life without sin is possible. But misery still exists for a reason. |
