1 | "none righteous" | Rom 3:18 | 33323
What does the verse in Ro. 3:10 mean when it says, "There is none righteous, no, not one"? Didn't God judged Job as righteous? How about Enoch who walked with God?
2 | "none righteous" | Rom 3:18 | jlpangilinan | 33324
Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Ro 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Ro 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Ro 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 13. Ro 3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Ro 3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: Ro 3:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: Ro 3:17 And the way of peace have they not known: Ro 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. If we read these verses through 3:18 we would understand who was Paul talking about and of whom not seeketeth God, those who are not fear God. As you mentioned Job, Enoch are good persons, Noah also considered as a "perfect" man in his generations: Ge 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. If we just read the romans 3:10 it will contradict the other part of the bible that stated that there are people who feard God, i.e. Moses, Abraham and other who are faithful to God. If we read 3:18 of romans it will explain that tho who are written in the 3:10 are those who are not feared God. I know you will agree that too many persons stated in the bible that followed God, especially the prophets. There are also explanations that Romans 3:10 means the corruption of man from his original righteous as "likeness and own image of God" as mentioned in Genesis. As we all know God created man "perfect" as His "Images and Likeness" but after the disobedience of man (adam and eve) those original righteous lost. And we need Jesus Christ to redeem from that lost. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Here are some input from EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY: "Disobedience of Man" is frequently and properly used to denote only the moral corruption of their whole nature inherited by all men from Adam. This inherited moral corruption consists in, (1) the loss of original righteousness; and (2) the presence of a constant proneness to evil, which is the root and origin of all actual sin. It is called "sin" I hope it would help God bless, Johnny |
