In the first chapter of Proverbs it speak about how if God keeps putting the word in you reach and you refuse to listen or get understanding, in your times of a storm and you call out to Him, He will not hear you or when you seek him you will not find Him. So is that to say that if you continue to do wrong but you pray unto God that He will not forgive you? I need a better understanding of the first chapter of Proverbs. | ||||||

Lady, There is no telling where and when God decides to forgive or not forgive. It's His choice. However, God deals with the sincere in heart. If you honestly are sincere in your request then God will forgive. This chapter in Proverbs is talking about those people who want to use God when it's convenient for them. Like the person that lives an ungodly lifestyle, gets into a serious predicament, and looks to God for help knowing full well that they don't plan on ever serving God. They just want God to help them out from time to time. It's not talking about those that are trying to serve Him and fall. Even if you fall time and time again, God will forgive as long as you still want to serve Him in your Heart. It's when we start taking His grace for granted that He might turn us over to a reprobate heart. Read Romans 1 where it talks about God turning people over to their own lusts. |
