Hi, BroBob... Welcome to the forum! What people say frequently has little to do with what the Word says. All sin has only one outcome, and that is eternal damnation (Numbers 14:18; Ezekiel 18:4; etc.). If the sacrifice of Christ failed to be a propitiation for even a single sin, the result would be a debt to our holy God that we could not repay. Evidence of salvation is a growing love of God, love of the Word, love of the brethren, and hatred for sin. People are always trying to make sin less heinous, God less holy, and/or reduce their own guilt. When we get those things wrong, it leads us to all kinds of error. In Him, Doc |
