1 | Confused of the 10 Commandments. | Rom 13:8 | JOEB | 157386
I am a rookie at studying the bible and I have got confused several times in several spots. Though I have read it for years not till recently have I started to study it, to study the bible is a very confusing thing to do for me because I am starting to find it to have many confusing parts to it. When I was reading of the 10 commandments I notice never once where the commandments directed to use. In truth they where directed to the children of Israel. Can someone tell me where to find information in the bible to where the 10 commandments are directed to us as Christians?
2 | Confused of the 10 Commandments. | Rom 13:8 | Shlomoh | 157411
God is not the author of confusion. Jesus came to fulfill the law (as in 10 Commandments) so it's the righteousness of Christ that we are to have faith in. The law is given to bring us to an end of ourselves so that we know that none of us can fulfill or keep the law as if you break one, you are guilty of all. Hence only Jesus is able to come and fulfill it. Once we know that we can never justify ourselves via the law, there really is only one way, which is THE way and that is via Christ. Believe on Him and what He has done for us. This is the gospel. |
