Why does the NASB omit the first part of Acts 9:6 where the KJV says "And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him. . ." Thanks |

Greetings Lucy! They did not include the phrase you asked about because there is very little textual support for the reading, and none at all at the time the TR was put together. Here is what Dr. A. T. Robertson says about this verse: "The best MSS. do not have “trembling and astonished,” and “What wilt thou have me to do, Lord?” The Textus Receptus put these words in here without the authority of a Greek codex. See note on Act_22:10 above (in Acts 5 article) for the genuine text. " I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
