Hi prayon, I think I am close to your answer, but you will have to go to the NKJ. Acts 3:22, "For Moses truly said to the fathers, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him/ you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you." Acts 7:37, "This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel, "The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him/ you shall hear." I go with the NKJ here by the way in number of pronouns of Deity and in capitalization of Prophet. Most of my comparisons were based on my numbering of pronouns. P.S. I hope you get your 5 points because you knew that this forum was the place to go to get your answer. Right? :) Whatever. From the heart, Ray P.S. Did you happen to see #74332 by Emmaus? He wrote about comparisons between Paul and Peter in the book of Acts. Here is another match for you from the first comparison Emmaus cites concerning the Davidic covenant. Acts 2:30, "And so, because he was a prophet, and knew that God/ had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants upon his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did (His) flesh suffer decay." Acts 13:36, "For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers, and underwent decay; 37 but He whom (God) raised did not undergo decay." I have to go on to other things. Good studying. From the heart, Ray |
