At the transfiguration of Jesus, Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus. Matthew 17:1-8 Luke 9:29 1. Is this true? 2. If you agree it is true, what does it tell us about our continuing to serve God, after the death of our body - as Moses and Elijah have demonstrated? |

1. My answer to your first Question:Maybe we still serve Him after death Re 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: Re 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. For your second question, here is my answer. The transfugaration of Moses and Elijah has deep meaning. Of course you can disagree if you find it not ok with you. Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Mt 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Mt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. At verse 17:4 "Peter said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias." It is peter suggested to Jesus Christ to build three tabernacles, at 17:5 "While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." "While he yet spake" Before Peter spake He is going to say: The God the father told them: "said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." They are three of them at that moment, it was Jesus Christ, Moses, and Elias. Why the God the father said "hear Him" and not "hear them" Meaning it is Jesus we are going to listen, to His teaching. We are going to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, if the teaching of moses is not included in the teaching of Jesus Christ we are not going to follow it anymore, because we are not justified by the law of Moses: Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. But I am not saying that we are going to exclude all of teaching of Moses, but those teaching that including in the the teaching of Jesus Christ are still we are going to observe it. For example honor thy parent, this teaching are continue taught by Christ and His deciples, we are to follow this. I think that is the real meaning "it Jesus Christ we are going to listen because He is the truly Mout of God: De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. It is also moses said it was Jesus we are going to listen Ac 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. I hope it helps God bless, Johnny |
