Circumcision as well as baptism are physical actions that are intended to reflect a spiritual reality. Just because a man is circumcized does not make him part of God's chosen nation of Israel and just because one is baptised in water does not mean that one is "saved." These are spiritual actions; both are the work of the Holy Spirit. See Romans 2:29; Eze 36:26. |
