1 | Is His name referring to Jehovah or Jesu | Acts 15:14 | raffa | 213677 | ||
Dear John, According to the Amplified Bible it states that God 1st visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people to bear His name. Doesn't that mean to be named after Him? His name is Jehovah. Doing some research I found that the word, LORD, (in Greek) is Kurios (koo'-ree-as) which is a TITLE given to GOD, the Messiah (this is exactly how it was written in the Interlinear Bible (I'm taking this to be JESUS). Do you think this is correct? If this is correct, then I understand, because His people would be called Christians (after Jesus Christ) and are believers in Him. |

Dear Rafa, There is an unwritten convention on the forum to use the "Question" button only when addressing the forum as a whole. Follow-up questions and comments addressed to individuals should use the "Note" button. (The individual being addressing will receive automatic notification.) This practice keeps the home page available for those asking questions of the forum members as a whole. In Him, Doc |
