1 | Salvation comes to Cornelius | Acts 10:2 | mark d seyler | 173717 | ||
Consider Cornelius, a devout man, who gave alms, prayed to God, and feared God. Cornelius prayed to God while he was not yet saved. God heard the prayers of Cornelius, while Cornelius was not yet saved. The Lord sent His angel to Cornelius in response to Cornelius' prayers, Act 10:4 And he was staring at him, and becoming terrified he said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms went up for a memorial before God. Cornelius' status before God was clearly identified by the angel. Act 11 13 And he told us how he saw an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon who is surnamed Peter, 14 who will speak words to you by which you and all your household will be saved. "Will be saved". Not "words by which you have been saved". Will be saved. |
