1 | The Source | Acts 10:20 | Thomas8 | 107699 | ||
The Spirit sent the men. In Acts 10:7and8, Cornelius sent them. Certainly both statements are true but don't we often miss the fact that God is the real Source? More examples would be appreciated. |

Exactly! The writings reflect what the Holy Spirit, Jesus and the Father are doing! Once commanded to do something, as in Acts 13:2-3, the Apostles would send or order something to be done, having the Source being God (most likely the Holy Spirit--He is the active force in the Church as Christ did not leave detailed organizational charts and commands! Another example is Acts 5:1-11; it is not Peter who wills death on Ananias and Sapphira--his words are a revelation of the Holy Spirit, Who, through Peter, reveals Himself as God! Look at Acts 16:6-10: from an outsider's view point, the Apostles were following a haphazard mode of travel, preaching at a whym here or there. But the Holy Spirit is very actively involved in the daily matters of the Church. |
