Greetings Tink43! You asked, "What was the meaning of Peter's vision?" My wife and I are actually studying Acts together and we just went through this passage. Peter's vision in Acts 10:11-17 is God's way of telling Peter that he should not call "any man common or unclean" (verse 28) so that he and his companions (verses 44-48) would know that "God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life" (11:18). So, salvation was not just for the Jew: it was for Gentiles also, and Gentiles were also filled with the Holy Spirit (10:44-45). Blessings to you, Makarios |
