John7 1:13 When Jesus said "His time "has not yet come" does this mean,His time on earth, He has much to do before going with His Father? Also why were some people saying that Jesus was leading the people astray or or deceive them? I believe that the leaders were saying Verse 15 "How does this man have such learning"? |

Sweet Jesus is replying to the mocking and ridicule. His words carried three thought. First Jesus was saying; It was not time (the day) for His acclaim, not the right time for the world to accept and acknowledge His claims and works, not yet. It was still the time for man’s acclaim. Jesus said to his brothers, “Your time—man’s time, the world’s time—is now.” It was and still is man’s day. Secondly He was saying it is time for the world’s works to be proclaimed evil. Christ said “It is time for the world’s reaction against me, not time for its acceptance.” Thirdly it is not time for Jesus’ full revelation. Note the words “full come” or “fully come”. His predestined hour to die for the world was not yet. EdB |
