Moses last plague is the death of the first born and Jesus last sign is the resuscitation of Lazarus and his own resurrection. | ||||||

Dear Michael, I do not personally have an opinion on this point. Yet, if "the seven signs that count in the Gospel of John till the resurrection show the superiority of Jesus over Moses" is correct, I wonder that this would not have been emphasized in the Gospel of Matthew, which was written to the Hebrews. This point would have been much more important to Matthew's readers than to John's readers. John's readers were not struggling with Judaic questions, but rather with the heresy of the Gnostics.
