Greetings Vala! The ultimate Father/Son relationship in Scripture has to be that of God the Father and God the Son (John 3:16). Another such occurrence would be Abraham and Isaac (Genesis 22) and Jacob and Joseph (Genesis 46:28-34). Benjamin's life was bound with Jacob's (Gen. 44:30), and Judah was willing to give his own life for Benjamin's (Gen. 44:33). David gave instructions to Solomon on how to establish his kingdom (1 Kings 2). Paul calls Timothy "my true child in the faith" (1 Timothy 1:2). Blessings to you, Makarios |
