1 | God is the source | John 1:3 | NightJay0044 | 195240 | ||
Hi, today I was listening about how God is the source of everything. Instead of saying that thinking that I did this, I made this and it's all my effort and don't recognize that things come from God, then you might not prosper or wont last. So is this true then that we must have the attitude that everything is from God and not have the attitude that "this is mine, I'm the source" and understand that. Like how in the book of Genesis talks about Abraham and Lot and how Abraham says to lot "choose which way you want to go and i'll go the other". Then Lot chose the lush land and abraham got the desert and then God blessed abraham more because he knew God was his source? Thank you, God bless.. |

Greetings nightjay! Yes, all things come from God! (Romans 11:33-36, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16, Revelation 4:11) Mankind has a tendency to puff himself up and think highly of himself and his accomplishments. We tend to fall into the trap of believing in our own abilities when in fact even our ability to rise in the morning and work the fields so to speak is by the hand of God we do so! What has mankind produced and/or discovered that God has not provided? I know of nothing! God bless, Steve |
