1 | Can doctrine make us lausy christians? | John 17:17 | Hank | 147502
Lorenzo : No, doctrine or anything else cannot make anyone a 'lousy' Christian simplly because there is no such entity. One is either a Christian or is he is not. Neither can 'once saved, always saved' make anyone a mediocre Christian: again, one is either a Christian or he is not. No, Christianity is not "the worst thing Satan has done": Satan was not the founder of Christianity. Lorenzo, on this Forum a question is supposed to be a question, not a declaration. 2 | Can doctrine make us lausy christians? | John 17:17 | lorenzosjb | 147511
I am sorry, I don't want to create controversy in any form. My question is because Christianity has become much very different from the time of the Early Christians, and I want to know what role does human doctrine had on this impact. Now people read more about Self Guide Books than the Bible. Sorry if I upset you or any of the Forum, In Christ, Lorenzo |

3 | Can doctrine make us lausy christians? | John 17:17 | Hank | 147584
Lorenzo ::: No need for an apology, brother. It is I who should be sorry, and am, for being too curt with you in my response to your question. I have just read all your posts to date and have come away convinced that your questions are honest and your motives pure. Please feel not only welcome on this Forum but free to continue to ask any questions that you may have about Bible topics. I note that English isn't your native language and my hat goes off to you to have the courage to participate on an English-based Forum. Most of us on the Forum claim English as our native tongue and even so not infrequently we get "tongue-tied" trying to say what we mean. So don't be bashful! We all have much to learn. Woe to me should I attempt to participate on a Spanish-language Forum. But I won't. I think Spanish is a noble and beautiful language and abhor the thought of slaughtering it. :-) God's grace and blessings to you. --Hank ...... P.S. Lorenzo, would you consider adding a little biographical sketch of yourself in the User Profile. You may want to look at mine or other users in order to get some idea of the kinds of information to include. --HH
