1 | Father and Son | John 14:28 | userdoe217 | 11013 | ||
This is an old question that was not answered, so I wish to reask in hopes that someone will answer: How do the Father and the Son relate to each other? I don't wish to open up a discussion on whether the Trinity is accurate. My question begins with the assumption that it is true that God has one essence but 3 persons in relationship. Nor is this question related to the relationships between the Father and the Spirit or the Spirit and the Son. My questions are: 1) What are some of the many passages that describe the ways that the Father and the Son relate to one another? 2) What can we learn about God from these passages? Please give verses and observations. |

Isa, I'm copying an old post. - The Father sent the Son (John 3:17, 6:29, 57, 10:36, 11:42, 17:8, 11, 20:21). - The Father loved and was pleased with the Son (Matt 3:17, 17:5). - The Son came to do the will of the Father (John 4:34, 5:30, 6:38) even to the point of death (Matt 26:39). Is this what you were looking for? Steve PS Read the reponses to what others wrote. If you still are unsatisfied email me Searcher78@aol.com. - The Son prayed to the Father (Luke 22:42). |
