1 | Becoming a Branch sprouting from Jesus | John 13:7 | Carol Nemitz | 196987
I beleive that Jesus placed the disciples' feet on the spot where He was later pierced. He talked to them right after this about Him being the Vine and us the branches. So in putting their feet into His Side, they became intimately attached to Him and their whole lives were affected (made clean, made powerful) by their walk with Him because He "plugged" them into His Side where His Life's Blood flows.

Dear Carol Nemitz :: The views you expressed in your post 196987 are interesting but appear to be flirting with ideas that are not supported by Scripture. Your reference to "plugging in" is reminiscent of something that Luther Burbank would have done to a potato, but I can't recall having read anything in the Bible that would lead me to the conclusion you've reached. On what do you therefore base it? ...... Welcome to Study Bible Forum, but please do keep in mind that the Forum's singular emphasis is on Scripture, thus leaving virtually no room for recondite and speculative excursions. --Hank
