2 | correct | John 13:1 | Taleb | 74599 | ||
The Jews celebrated the Passover and the Feast of Unleaven Bread long after Christ's "completed it" when He BECAME the slain Lamb of God. Thereafter, His disciples celebrated, as Jesus instructed them to, by partaking in communion. John 13:1 describes not only the last supper, but also the LAST Passover feast. 1 Corinthians 11:20 ff calls it the Lord’s Supper. In Acts 12:3 it mentions the “Feast of Unleaven Bread”, but in the context of the Jews verses the Church (made up of those who “used” to be Jews par se). King Herod killed the apostle James, John’s brother and noticing that it pleased the Jews to preceded to arrest Peter. That was during the Feast of Unleaven Bread, which the Jews was celebrating, but the disciples, knowing the truth of the Gospel of their Lord, didn’t. And KNOWING that the myth about "Easter" over the facts of how and why Christians celebrate it, Easter is just as my dictionary defines it. Nothing more, and here’s what it says: “n. a festival of the Christian Church to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ: adj. pertaining to Easter.” Anyone who accepts the myth that says "Easter" is from some pagan's myth over the facts of Christ's victorious resurrection - well what can I say?
