Dear Searcher, Thanks for your reply with quotes of the relevant scriptures which I failed to associate with. Was Bethany (where Lazarus lived) located in the Judea region? If so, then I could understand why Thomas made such statement. Thanks for your help and Shalom Azure P.S.: Is there any biblical maps concerning Jesus mission available for helping us to study the 4 gospel books? |

Hi Azure, Indeed, Bethany is located in the Judean region about two miles southeast of Jerusalem. John 11:18 "Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off." Today Bethany is an Arab Muslim and Arab Christian village of about 3600 population. It is on the southeast slopes of the Mount of Olives. Hope this was helpful. Jim Estes |
