2 | how would you explain this JW pet Q | John 10:30 | lionheart | 200316
hopalong, This is another prime example of how some folks will take one verse of scripture out of context and try and make it fit thier theology. What will they say to John 10:30. Once again I'll say this and I know I've probably brought this more times than some folks wanna hear but it comes back to 2 Timothy 2:15 and 2 Peter 1:20,21. God says we don't. In Him, lionheart |

3 | how would you explain this JW pet Q | John 10:30 | parpar | 200331
Hi Lionheart. Regarding, John 10:30. JW's will tell you that all this means is that both the Son, and the Father are in agreement, the following three verses might be more helpful. John 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." John 2:20 The Jews then said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?" John 2:21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. As only God can raise Himself back from the dead. Every blessing. parpar. |

parpar, Forgive me for being so slow to reply. It's good to have you on the forum. You are correct in reference to Father and Son being in agreement. This is a common argument used by those who will call into question the Deity of Jesus Christ. Yes Father and Son are in agreement. It's an accurate conclusion, but it doesn't go far enough. Col 3:15,19 Titus 2:13, Heb 1:1-3 adds clarity to the whole picture. In Him, lionheart PS- Thanx for your references they do help. |
