Hi, Iwash! We must remember that the rules and regulations in Scripture binds us, the creatures, not God, the Creator. There are many passages in Scriture that kind of turn the resurrection of the dead upside and inside out... There are at least two people in the Old Testament that were, bodily, snatched up to Heaven; Lazarus, and several others were brought back to life, though temporal existence, by Christ, on the Cross Jesus (the Resurrection and Life) promised a convicted man that He would take him with Him to Paradise on that very day that they were being crucified; at Jesus' death, on the Cross, many holy people of God were resurrected and, at Jesus' resurrection, they entered the Holy City and were seen by their loved ones; Peter and Paul (as well as some of the Olt Testament prophets) were given the power to bring the dead back to life... Sometimes Scripture speak on things that are not readily comprehensible to our finite mind... this does not mean that they are not part of God's Plan! We may scrutinize Scripture till we are blue in the face and yet we will not make any progress in our understanding of God's Way nor would we increase our intimacy with the Lord! It is by Faith that we can reconcile that which is beyond our grasp! I doubt that there is a person in America that can boast of having usage knowledge of all the words in an American Standard Unabridged Dictionary, but being ignorant of the fullness of the American Vocabulary does not limit our abilities to engage in the various forms of communication nor does it limit our capacity to master the yet unknown words! God has given us our teacher, the Holy Spirit-- who contains all that is God, not so that we knock ourselves out deciphering every single meaning found in Scripture but that we faithfully allow Him to teach and guide us to the Truth! God Bless! Angel |
