Hello Mommapbs The lexical form of this word is "doulos" literally meaning slave. Those who used the word understood their place as having their master's will replace their own--the best example being the Lord Jesus (Phil 2:5-8). Steve |

Thanks Steve! What a great definition! Just wondering if we "understand OUR place" in Christ . . . As a bond-servant "having their master's will replace their own!" Oh, I like that description. And what a privilege it is! But then again I am reminded how far short I so often fall! 1 John 1:9 - Thank you Lord! Blessings, Mommapbs |

Scripture ... Lev 25:39-40 ... Greetings Mommapbs, There is a difference between a bond servant and a slave, tho some say a bond servant is a (type of) slave.
