I think it's sort of a parallel answer to "Render to Ceasar the things of Ceaser and the things of God to God". In other words, marriage -- and our associated feelings -- is an earthly institution that doesn't have a heavenly equivalent. Just as our physical bodies will change in heaven so will some of the institutions -- and probably some of our feelings. So while on earth we feel this way emotionally, knowing spiritually that things will be different there. | ||||||
