It is talking about faith. Praying in faith and not giving up until you recieve and answer. He states...telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,.. and then ends with... when the son of man comes will he find faith on the earth... This kind of faith of the woman. The lesson is this A good example but not the only applcation Let's say you have a besetting sin..you want to be freed from it. The enemy or adversary is vexing you with shame guilt and condemnation. You can go to Christ in faith and say Lord you died on the cross for me to be free from this sin. I know that your word says that sin shall not have dominion over me. I claim that promise in your holy name. I believe I recieve victory over this sin. I repent and will recieve grace from God to resist this sin in the future." now if the saint goes on and stumbles again, he is to continue praying.. "God I will not be denied, Your word says I can be free from this sin, I will not accept anything less than your word on this subject. I know that the Word of God cannot fail And your word says that sin shall not have dominion over me.. " Soon that saint will be free from that sin and never fall to it again. Jesus is saying.. how many will pray and believe like this when I come again. The indication seems to be that few will be like that. That more might be believing dumb things like "oh we are weak and god understands our propensity toward sin and so it is ok to hang on to this sin" May God Bless you as you study His Word. |
