As a born again, Spirit filled Christian who let the weight of this life cause me to fall (far) away, does Luke 12:9-11 leave me any hope. There is no joy without the Lord and my fear is that I can't go back. My same question is put regarding Mark 3:28-30. what do I do... assuming I can do anything at this point?

Dear rpmiller: Your task is not all that difficult and your victory is assured. Repent! Confess your sins to God, ask Him to forgive you, and He will. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9). Restore fellowship with God and with the saints: "If we say we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:6,7) Pray (1 Thess. 5:17) . Study and meditate on the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15; Psalm 1:2). Do not forsake your own assembling with the saints; in other words, attend church worship services (Heb. 10:25). Brother or sister, you have a blessed hope! May God richly bless you as you turn your back on the world and turn back to Him. --Hank
