1 | what is the "blasphemy" referred to ? | Luke 12:10 | rpmiller | 114480
As a born again, Spirit filled Christian who let the weight of this life cause me to fall (far) away, does Luke 12:9-11 leave me any hope. There is no joy without the Lord and my fear is that I can't go back. My same question is put regarding Mark 3:28-30. what do I do... assuming I can do anything at this point?
2 | what is the "blasphemy" referred to ? | Luke 12:10 | Emmaus | 114481
Refusing the oppourtunity to repent is the blasphemy. So repent. Read the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) and meditate on it. It will encourage you. "Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven."(Luke 12:110; Mark 3:29; Matt 12:32) There are no limits to the mercy of God, but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept his mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of his sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit. Such hardness of heart can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss. |
