1 | "him" refers to which one? | Mark 9:42 | azurelaw | 219174
"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea...." "him" refers to "one of these little ones" or "whoever"? I've heard both explanations. But which should be correct according to the kione Greek grammar? Thanks for your help. Shalom Azure |

Sorry, I should have posted it as a question. 3 | "him" refers to which one? | Mark 9:42 | BMyers | 219182
Luke 17:2 could help with this: It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble. (NASB) Based on this, I would say him refers to the one causing the stumble and not the person stumbling. Brad |
