Greetings Pgs, The "Son of Man" is Jesus' most common title for Himself. This particular title is used 84 times in the Gospels and was never used by anyone except Jesus. Jesus used this title, the "Son of Man", as a Messianic title, indicating that He is the promised Messiah that was to come. See also Daniel 7:13-14, where the "Son of Man" is pictured as a heavenly figure who in the end times is entrusted by God with authority, glory and sovereign power. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Hi Pgs, Just to add a little note to Makarios' answer that might help you to understand better. Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God (did:) sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and (as an offering) for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, (New American Standard Bible copyright 1995 Lockman Foundation) Jesus came "in the likeness of sinful flesh" physically born as a human, so He was the "Son of Man" but His Divinity also made Him the "Son of God". He was 100 percent man and 100 percent God. The fact that He lived a physical life that was without sin and He was the Son of God qualified Him to be our sacrifice for sin that was worthy of the Father's approval. In Christ, SignmanBob |
