1 | Are the disciple scared of being unclean | Mark 5:2 | dutchman | 26882
In Mark 5:2, regarding the story of Jesus and the man among the tombs at Gerasenes, it says Jesus got out of the boat after landing in Gentile country. Do you think the disciples followed Jesus or were they too cautious of becoming unclean? With that in mind, in Mark 6:45 Jesus tells the disciples to go ahead of Him into Gentile country again. This time they go without hesitation. Why?
2 | Are the disciple scared of being unclean | Mark 5:2 | Makarios | 26902
Greetings dutchman! Whether the disciples went ahead or stayed behind, I am convinced that they had no idea whatsoever that they were going to meet up with a man with an unclean spirit that day. So it is quite possible that the man caught the disciples totally by surprise! However, Jesus had everything under control, and He knew just what exactly was going to happen that day, fully knowing what the disciples would learn from the encounter. Blessings to you, Nolan |
