Casiv, This question was already answered. I told Nolan that camel's hair and a leather belt were worn by Elijah (2Ki 1:8). The angel said (to John's dad) that John would go out in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord," (Luk 1:17), fulfilling Mal 4:5-6. People even asked if he was Elijah (John 1:21). It may of been the clothing of all prophets (Zec 13:4). Locusts and wild honey are clean foods (Lev 11:21-22) and may of been to only clean food he could find. So, based on that he may of been told of the prophecy by his parents, so he dressed like Elijah. He was obediedent to the Law and ate the good food. Searcher |
