1 | Mark 1:6 ? | Mark 1:6 | Jensen | 19690 | ||
Dear Casiv...The verse seems pretty straight forward to me. A good description of John. Since you connect it to 2 Kings 1:8, I suppose you might easily say that John and Elijah had similarities. But I am afraid to answer since you may take us on another wild ride. As for 2 Kings 1:8; Does the fact that the 2 and the 1 and the 8 add up to 11, and therefore indicate disorder according to your earlier posts, mean that you want to make some unapparent point? God Bless....Jensen |

How are you Jensen? Good to hear from you, your response is a gift. You can thank searcher56 for bringing up 2Kings 1:8. He stated the similarities between Elijah and John the Baptist and was providing the location of the occurrence. I cannot take credit for the 11 but I am pleased to see you thinking about numbers. However, instead of 2 plus one plus 8 equals 11, I would have done 1 plus 8 equals 9. Nine in biblical numerics denotes Finality of Judgement. It is 3 x 3, the product of Divine completeness, The number nine or its factors or multiples, is seen in all cases when judgement is the subject. I merely asked the question regarding Mark 1:6 and am interested in what others have to say. Jensen, the chapters added to the verses are not always in line with the biblical meanings. The only time the numbers are always accurate is when they are in the actual text. This is important to study, not adding the chapters and verses which is play. I hope you understand, but if you don't, it's ok. I believe we must study every word, number and mark in the Bible, if it were not important I do not think it would be there. I found this verse in Psalms when I was thinking about our couple of conversations. Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth His handy work. Psalm 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night sheweth knowledge. Psalm 19:3 There is no speech nor language, Where their voice is not heard. Psalm 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun, Psalm 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race, Psalm 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, And his circuit unto the ends of it: And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Peace, Casiv |

Dear Brother Casiv.... As a young earth creationist, your quoting Psalm 19:1 is the way the Lord has used you to soften my heart toward you. But I'm still not going for the number thing, and I will fight this teaching with gentleness and respect. God Bless....Jensen |
