1 | Mark 1:12 ekbaino not ekballo, | Mark 1:12 | stepmor | 241604
The NASB uses the word "impelled" in Mark 1:12. The NASB concordance claims that the word "ekbaino" is used here, not the word "exballo". Strong does not have the word ekbaino at all. I have not found a Greek text that uses this word either. How did the translators choose this word?
2 | Mark 1:12 ekbaino not ekballo, | Mark 1:12 | EdB | 241609
My Complete Biblical Interlinear uses a third word "ekballei". I think I would email Lockman directly and see if they will explain to you why they did what they did. To me the best translation of the word is "Compelled". |

yes, "ekballei" is the present indicative 3rd person form of the verb ekballo. (to thrust out, cast out) that is the word that strong references in this text.
