Is it possible that the 'end of time' discussed in the Bible by Jesus, simply refers to a person's death? No one knows the time and hour of his/her death. | ||||||

Greetings Chynna! The short answer to whether or not this passage could refer to a person's death is 'No'. The entire chapter of Mark 13 is Jesus' response to the disciples question about when the temple would be destroyed. Jesus then goes on to describe all of the events leading up to the end of time - events like wars, earthquakes, false christs, persecution, the rapture, and the second coming of Christ. To read Mark 13:32-37 as suddenly changing topic and discussing the death of an individual would be impossible in the context of the passage. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
