1 | The Center of Truth | Mark 10:27 | TheCurtMan | 115995 | ||
This is a little something that was shared with me. I found it rather interesting. I thought that I’d share it with the forum. Was wondering if anyone had any comments on it. The chapter in the center of the Bible is Psalms 118. There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118 There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118 594 multiplied by 2 is 1188 What is the center verse in the Bible? Psalms 118:8 Does this verse say anything significant about God’s Perfect Will in our lives?? Read it and see. Now isn’t that odd how this all works out?? Or is/was God in the center of it?? Comments anyone?? The CurtMan |

The cursive script was created before the time of Christ but became popular in the ninth century. In cursive the letters are connected, like our present day handwriting. Spaces were also added between words. In Greek texts today, John 1:1 begins, En arch/ hn o logoß ... http://www.zondervan.com/media/pdfs/0310234859.pdf The present chapter divisions in our Bibles were invented in 1205 by Stephen Langton, a professor in Paris (he later became Archbishop of Canterbury), who put these into a Vulgate edition of the Bible http://www.fuller.edu/ministry/berean/chs_vss.htm The Old Testament was divided into verses by R. Nathan in 1488 and the New Testament by Robert Stephanus in 1551. http://www.fuller.edu/ministry/berean/chs_vss.htm |
