Greetings Ray! I would go with the Amplified on this verse! The text actually says, "This one blasphemes". But, the pronoun is masculine, so it would be appropriated to translate it as 'This man'. I would go with the lower case 'man' simply because the Jewish leaders surely were not ascribing Deity to Christ. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hi Tim, Thanks again for sharing your Greek expertise so freely with us all. **** I usually go with the Amplified's idea of capitalizing Deity whether the Jewish leaders did or not; for we know who He is do we not?**** I personally would make it 'man' because the sentence involves their own thoughts.
